Everybody needs a break sometimes!
Respite provides a much-deserved rest for people proving care to people living with disability. Respite offers a temporary break from caregiving duties, allowing time to recharge or take care of everyday life. We value how important it is for carers to address their own needs, have access to support and attend to their own health and well-being.
Respite stays are an excellent opportunity for people living with disability to meet new people, develop new skills, build capacity and independence. Inglis Support Service provides relaxing respite stays where your comfort, happiness, safety and support are the highest priority. In a caring environment with highly qualified support staff, our support workers pride themselves on building positive professional relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
We work closely with Participants and their families to create a person-centred respite support plan that caters to your specific goals, requirements, interests and preferences. We have approximately 50 members in our support team, allowing us to match you with the perfect support worker.
Respite Retreat
Our respite house is a spacious home in the picturesque, seaside town of Wynyard, Tasmania. It has 4 individually heated bedrooms (including option of electric adjustable bed), large spacious living areas, a modern kitchen, roll in bathrooms (including accessible bathtub), rails, hoists, sunroom, BBQ area and a large garden. Quiet, fully fenced and off the road, this home is newly renovated and has been designed with accessibility in mind. It is a welcoming all-ages and all-abilities property.
